Preppy Lilly Letters DIY

Hey everyone! If you didn't already know, in my free time I like to craft and paint! I'm absolutely obsessed with diys, especially room decor since I'll be going to college next year and will need dorm room decorations!

The materials I used include:
Wooden letters
Various paints
Ribbon
Glue
Pearls (found at Michaels for $2)
Paint brushes
Scissors

The only things I had to buy were my pearls and the letters!

I've photographed multiple steps along the way! Here are pics of part of the painting process for two of the letters!

After letting the letters dry, it was time for pearls, all this took was the pearls and glue and all I did was glue the pearls in a line down the same side of each letter!

Next, once the pearls were dry, I cut ribbon into about 4 inch strips and placed them on the back of the letters like so, so that I could use tacks to hang them on my cork board in my room! All that was needed for this step was the already painted letters, glue, ribbon, and scissors!

After the glue was set, I tacked the letters up on my cork board and this was the final result!

I really hope you all enjoyed this DIY and I'd love to hear if you tried it!

Ps. One tip I have if you're not the most artistic, you can try printing lilly prints and using Modge posher to seal it, or you could just paint whichever print is easiest for you on all of the letters rather than a different one on each!

Personally I think that this Lilly Print, Ya Gotta Regatta is the easiest, and its a classic!
