16 Pins I want to Try/ Do/ Make in 2016

For this Blogpost I was inspired by the New Year (even though its day 20), and I was also inspired by one of my random pinning phases I went through! If you read my last blogpost, you may have seen that I wanted to expand my preppy fashion blog, into fitness/ healthy living, as well as beauty! So without further ado, here are 16 things I hope to try to do and make this year!

1. DIY blackhead removal, going with the beauty and make up theme, and just because I've heard great things about it!

 2. Lush shower jelly DIY, these looked interesting and fun and I can't wait to see if they work!
 3. I want to of course do Lilly pumpkins, but a carved pineapple for Halloween? Too cute!
 4. I know they have these lace overlays at Michaels Craft store for cheap! And on top of that I'm going to college so room décor DIYs are a must in my future!
 5. Currently I'm obsessed with Lush everything and sugar scrubs, so why not try these!
 6. I think most girls can agree that shaving your legs is a hastle and time consuming. Its got to be done, so there's a good chance I'll be giving this  a shot, hoping it doesn't hurt or anything!
 7. My dad gave me permission, so there's a good chance of a First Impression fan in my future!
 8. Been dying for some new arm candy and KJP look alike bracelets, hope I can figure one out this year!
 9. Healthy eating, I think yes, maybe this one isn't the healthiest, but trying lots of smoothies off of pinterest will hopefully make breakfast more fun and healthy!
 10. Surprisingly I haven't done this to my calculator yet, the lilly print I choose is TBD, however I am open to suggestions!
 11. Here's some actual healthy eating! These look so good and I'm hoping to try these and several other kinds of healthy snack ideas I found on pinterest!
 12. Detox water, I've heard good things however I hate cucumbers, is strawberry lemon detox water a thing?/ Cam it be?
 13. Contouring, I am totally clueless on this but I am so wanting to try it this year some time!
 14. Obsessed with Coffee, obsessed with facials, see why I picked this?
 15. As a girl with Dirty Blonde hair and platinum blonde baby hairs, I just so happen to have blonde eyebrows, so for this reason I hope to find the best eye brow products I can and I'm open to DIYs and any suggestions, determined to figure this out this year!
 16. Room Décor again, but how cute are these jars? Exactly, its happening! (Hoping to make some little stuff for my dorm)

Thanks so much for reading! I will most likely blog and Youtube about some of these when I get around to them so stay tuned for them!

Preppy Lilly Letters DIY

Hey everyone! If you didn't already know, in my free time I like to craft and paint! I'm absolutely obsessed with diys, especially room decor since I'll be going to college next year and will need dorm room decorations!

The materials I used include:
Wooden letters
Various paints
Ribbon
Glue
Pearls (found at Michaels for $2)
Paint brushes
Scissors

The only things I had to buy were my pearls and the letters!

I've photographed multiple steps along the way! Here are pics of part of the painting process for two of the letters!

After letting the letters dry, it was time for pearls, all this took was the pearls and glue and all I did was glue the pearls in a line down the same side of each letter!

Next, once the pearls were dry, I cut ribbon into about 4 inch strips and placed them on the back of the letters like so, so that I could use tacks to hang them on my cork board in my room! All that was needed for this step was the already painted letters, glue, ribbon, and scissors!

After the glue was set, I tacked the letters up on my cork board and this was the final result!

I really hope you all enjoyed this DIY and I'd love to hear if you tried it!

Ps. One tip I have if you're not the most artistic, you can try printing lilly prints and using Modge posher to seal it, or you could just paint whichever print is easiest for you on all of the letters rather than a different one on each!

Personally I think that this Lilly Print, Ya Gotta Regatta is the easiest, and its a classic!
