I frequently get asked about why I started my account, how I started it, and tips for some of my followers that want to start something similar to mine. You may not want to start a preppy fashion account, maybe you're into food, or more urbanized fashion, maybe its crafting or starting a business, no matter what kind of account you want to start, these tips will most likely help you!
1. Have a creative username, something catch and creative, and try to not have any underscores or dots in your username if possible!
2. (difficult) attempt to post only original photos, this will make your account unique, your followers will be drawn to you because your photos can't be found anywhere else!
3. Photo quality and lighting are both crucial, try to avoid shadows, have nice back drops, and outdoor pictures usually are better! The better photo quality, the better your account will be!
4. If you don't have the best camera, or are just using your phones, I highly recommend getting an editing app, personally I use an app called photo editor
5. When you're first starting out, posting frequently is extremely important, however maintaining balance is extremely important, post every 3-4 hours (or 3 times a day) for the first couple weeks of your account, and then gradually get into 2 photos a day, and eventually one but more on weekends.
6. I definitely recommend using preppy hashtags to gain followers, also, go through preppy hashtags and like and comment on pictures to hopefully get noticed by other preppy accounts and their followers!
7. Giveaways, giveaways are great, however don't be that account that does fake giveaways! For giveaways, I recommend partnering either with a company or a loop for the biggest potential turnout!
8. Sponsorships, always reach out to companies! The worst that can happen is that the can say no, typically I say something along the lines of "Hello my name is ______ and I run the instagram account @-----, I have over ___ followers and I would love to work with you and promote you on my account.." (something like this).
9. I recommend having a separate email for business inquiries where businesses can reach out to you, put this in your bio and or include it when you reach out, you can end your message by saying, "if interested, email me at_________".
10. Have Confidence in yourself and your abilities! Be anonymous, or don't, I was anonymous until 8k and here I am now. Not everyone is going to like what you do, but if you do, that's all that really matters!

Sticker Organizer
If you're preppy like me, there's a good chance you collect stickers from your favorite companies! I know I have a bunch but there are so many and I hate clutter!
This is what my stickers looked like before:

All you need is this index card holder from target! I made little name brand tags (stickers come with index card holder), and organized them with this!
Then just because Imapreppygirl *wink*, I added a monogram with some paint!

Pineapple Canvas DIY
Supplies needed:
To start, this is what you'll need, plus whatever you plan on using to hold your paint, I used a paper plate. All of this can be bought at Michaels craft stores, but can also be found at target or other craft stores.
Take the wrapping paper and wrap your canvas up like you would a present, then continue to crease the sides for cleaner edges.
My next step after that was done was to paint the design I wanted (I chose pineapples), and I continued to paint them on my canvas/ wrapping paper in white.
I then waited for them to dry, and went back and repainted them in pink!

1. What is your definition of a good blogger?
My definition of a good blogger would be someone who blogs thoughtfully, is always interesting and helpful. I appreciate blogs that are original and have good color choice as well as lots of pictures.
2. Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging after I got around 7k followers, it was sometime in June. Blogging was something I've always wanted to do since starting my account, I thought I'd finally learned enough about it after constantly reading some of my favorite blogs, I decided to give it a try myself!
3. Who are your top 3-5 favorite bloggers?
I have a few blogs I really love! I love @Lillypulitzerck , @belleoftheball45 , @simply.preppy , and @thepreppyjane (on instagram) their blogs are in their bios!
I have two blogger best friends, one is Sydney Burback (@simply.preppy) and the other is my friend Lucy (@dailydoseof_prep)!
(this is Lucy)When I first started blogging I didn't know much about the website, I wish I had played around with the website more, and my first blog post didn't have pictures, so I wish I had known how to import sooner!
6. What is your favorite color combination?
My favorite color combo is Navy and Pink!
7. Planner or notebook?
Planner!(even though I also love my Jadelynnbrooke Notebook!)
This one is really tough for me, but I am going to go with bean boots because they are more comfortable.

My favorite bible verse is Hebrews 6:19 , Hope anchors the soul.
