Senior Prom

A couple weeks ago, I got to experience on of the most amazing nights of my life, my senior prom. As the school year went on, all these final memories with my classmates have been passing by in our final months and weeks of high school. Prom this year marked our last high school dance together. We danced all night long, stuffed ourselves with Italian food, and made memories that we'll never forget, and here are a few pictures of the amazing night. Also here is a formal introduction of my boyfriend Lou, he was my awesome date and I just thought it was time for y'all to meet him!

The Little White Dress

                 Every girl is told to keep that "little black dress" in their closet, however, I'm telling y'all about how I styled this darling little white dress instead. There are many different ways to style this dress, I wore a scarf from Lilly Pulitzer around my shoulders, and paired the dress with some gold and white tassel earrings.
                 I don't wear much black, and I work at the brightest store filled with tons of color and no black clothing (Lilly Pulitzer at Short Pump), so for work and for play, the little white dress is my favorite look right now . And if you're not convinced, here's a few more reasons why I consider it a must have staple piece.

1. It goes with any color, black, gray, or a color in the rainbow, it will match.

2. It's always summer somewhere. Spring will be ending soon and this dress is perfect for the upcoming summer months.

3. You can dress it up or down, throw on some flats and a blazer for work, put on some heels and a necklace for dinner after.

Synch Skirts and Sun hats

Today I styled my lovely J. Crew Khaki Synch skirt in a new way, I'd never paired my Lilly Pulitzer Elsa with the skirt and decided to try it out. I fell in love. I gave my shirt a tuck in, added a sun hat and some neon flats and it will definitely be one of my go- to looks in the future! Enjoy these pics of my newly founded pairing  that I just adore!

Happy Hiking

Today the weather in Virginia was absolutely STUNNING, it was 70 degrees outside, with a slight breeze so my friend Elise and I made our way out to a local park and walked around, hiked on some rocks and the views were overall breathtaking. I had some t shirts I needed to photograph so I brought a couple tees and hats to change into along the way!

DIY with Del: Detox Water

Detox water is always something I've wanted to try but have just never gotten around to it, so this weekend I decided to make three different kinds and it was such a quick and easy thing to do!

These are just a few ingredients I had in my house that I used for this DIY.

First I filled my monogrammed cup from @ourmonogrammedlife on Instagram, with about 12 oz of water!

Next I picked out which fruits to use and I decided on lemon and blackberry. I cut up two pieces of lemon, cut some black berries in half and tossed them in, then I placed in the fridge for about an hour which allows the flavors to infuse.

 

I wanted to do more than one detox water so next I decided on a lemon orange one, all I did was slice a couple of each fruit, put them in the water and then refrigerate.

 

 

Lastly, I had a bunch of berries in the fridge so I decided those would be great all together in a Very Berry Detox. I chopped up a couple small strawberries, and blackberries, and then threw in a couple blue berries refrigerated them with my other two waters.

 

 

 

These turned out super fresh and I cannot wait to make more in the future with these ingredients and many others!
