Happy Hiking

Today the weather in Virginia was absolutely STUNNING, it was 70 degrees outside, with a slight breeze so my friend Elise and I made our way out to a local park and walked around, hiked on some rocks and the views were overall breathtaking. I had some t shirts I needed to photograph so I brought a couple tees and hats to change into along the way!

These shirts were from @jadelynnbrooke mostly, and also Vineyard Vines and the light pink world tee is from @ribbonsandrows

DIY with Del: Detox Water

Detox water is always something I've wanted to try but have just never gotten around to it, so this weekend I decided to make three different kinds and it was such a quick and easy thing to do!

These are just a few ingredients I had in my house that I used for this DIY.

First I filled my monogrammed cup from @ourmonogrammedlife on Instagram, with about 12 oz of water!

Next I picked out which fruits to use and I decided on lemon and blackberry. I cut up two pieces of lemon, cut some black berries in half and tossed them in, then I placed in the fridge for about an hour which allows the flavors to infuse.

I wanted to do more than one detox water so next I decided on a lemon orange one, all I did was slice a couple of each fruit, put them in the water and then refrigerate.

Lastly, I had a bunch of berries in the fridge so I decided those would be great all together in a Very Berry Detox. I chopped up a couple small strawberries, and blackberries, and then threw in a couple blue berries refrigerated them with my other two waters.

These turned out super fresh and I cannot wait to make more in the future with these ingredients and many others!

Back at it in the Blue Vans

I hope you all enjoyed the title of this, I laughed and I still laugh at that vine whenever I see it and I'm hoping at least one of my readers enjoyed and or picked up on the reference to the "da** Daniel back at it in the White Vans" vine on that's gone viral on most social media that I've seen.

Anyways, this blog post is actually inspired by that I am officially a Krass and Co brand rep! If you didn't know, Krass and Co is an athletic brand and I particularly am in love with their running shorts! They had an awesome deal for reps that included 50% off so I splurged and bought two pairs.

I styled in this more athletic look, Blue Vans (unfortunately I had no athletic shoes that matched with my navy theme and I wasn't trying to blavy (black and navy), so I was " back at it with the blue vans", I also styled my new white half zip from @duffieldlane on instagram, along with my new Krass and Co shorts and a neon pink VV hat with a navy whale just for a pop of color.

Here are some pics from the 10 seconds of pictures that my dad took for me!

Neon and Nike

I've been searching for cute athletic apparel lately, and I found a pair of leggings that matched my Lilly Popover perfectly! The purple in the leggings matches the purple in my popover, and the slight hint of purple in my sneakers as well! This Vineyard Vines hat matched the blue perfectly also so everything pair together nicely!

Sneakers- Nike
leggings- Marshalls
Popover- Lilly
hat- Vineyard Vines

What I've given up for Lent

Lent, I'm not one to ever get into it, I never have but seeing as a lot of my friends decided to give up some things, I decided to join in for the fun/ what is already torture. I hope none of you are sharing my pain, but if you are, praying for you because I'm not going to lie, Lent is not an easy thing, especially because I forgot when it started, so I didn't even get a fat Tuesday.

I've seen some crazy things this Lent, and I don't know how some people are doing it!

What I've heard people giving up:
1. Coffee

Okay what!???? How, if you're one of the people giving this up, I'm praying for you.

2. Social Media

Nope. Considering I'm constantly on YouTube or Blogger or Instagram.... or Twitter... or Snapchat... or Pinterest..

I have a problem.

3. Carbs

Considering I live off of pasta (recently switched to spinach pasta), however pasta and Chipotle rice, I honestly don't think I could do it, those are my weaknesses

4. Dairy

I've done this, not easy.

5. Netflix

Considering I'm currently hooked on 3 shows right now, this does not seem easy whatsoever and I commend you.

I totally respect all of the things above, let me point that out, and here I hope you enjoy what I've given up below, however they are extremely odd and random!

1. Desserts and Sugar
2. Picking my nails
3. (working on) organizing my time

Thanks so much for reading!

16 Pins I want to Try/ Do/ Make in 2016

For this Blogpost I was inspired by the New Year (even though its day 20), and I was also inspired by one of my random pinning phases I went through! If you read my last blogpost, you may have seen that I wanted to expand my preppy fashion blog, into fitness/ healthy living, as well as beauty! So without further ado, here are 16 things I hope to try to do and make this year!

1. DIY blackhead removal, going with the beauty and make up theme, and just because I've heard great things about it!

 2. Lush shower jelly DIY, these looked interesting and fun and I can't wait to see if they work!
 3. I want to of course do Lilly pumpkins, but a carved pineapple for Halloween? Too cute!
 4. I know they have these lace overlays at Michaels Craft store for cheap! And on top of that I'm going to college so room décor DIYs are a must in my future!
 5. Currently I'm obsessed with Lush everything and sugar scrubs, so why not try these!
 6. I think most girls can agree that shaving your legs is a hastle and time consuming. Its got to be done, so there's a good chance I'll be giving this  a shot, hoping it doesn't hurt or anything!
 7. My dad gave me permission, so there's a good chance of a First Impression fan in my future!
 8. Been dying for some new arm candy and KJP look alike bracelets, hope I can figure one out this year!
 9. Healthy eating, I think yes, maybe this one isn't the healthiest, but trying lots of smoothies off of pinterest will hopefully make breakfast more fun and healthy!
 10. Surprisingly I haven't done this to my calculator yet, the lilly print I choose is TBD, however I am open to suggestions!
 11. Here's some actual healthy eating! These look so good and I'm hoping to try these and several other kinds of healthy snack ideas I found on pinterest!
 12. Detox water, I've heard good things however I hate cucumbers, is strawberry lemon detox water a thing?/ Cam it be?
 13. Contouring, I am totally clueless on this but I am so wanting to try it this year some time!
 14. Obsessed with Coffee, obsessed with facials, see why I picked this?
 15. As a girl with Dirty Blonde hair and platinum blonde baby hairs, I just so happen to have blonde eyebrows, so for this reason I hope to find the best eye brow products I can and I'm open to DIYs and any suggestions, determined to figure this out this year!
 16. Room Décor again, but how cute are these jars? Exactly, its happening! (Hoping to make some little stuff for my dorm)

Thanks so much for reading! I will most likely blog and Youtube about some of these when I get around to them so stay tuned for them!

Preppy Lilly Letters DIY

Hey everyone! If you didn't already know, in my free time I like to craft and paint! I'm absolutely obsessed with diys, especially room decor since I'll be going to college next year and will need dorm room decorations!

The materials I used include:
Wooden letters
Various paints
Ribbon
Glue
Pearls (found at Michaels for $2)
Paint brushes
Scissors

The only things I had to buy were my pearls and the letters!

I've photographed multiple steps along the way! Here are pics of part of the painting process for two of the letters!

After letting the letters dry, it was time for pearls, all this took was the pearls and glue and all I did was glue the pearls in a line down the same side of each letter!

Next, once the pearls were dry, I cut ribbon into about 4 inch strips and placed them on the back of the letters like so, so that I could use tacks to hang them on my cork board in my room! All that was needed for this step was the already painted letters, glue, ribbon, and scissors!

After the glue was set, I tacked the letters up on my cork board and this was the final result!

I really hope you all enjoyed this DIY and I'd love to hear if you tried it!

Ps. One tip I have if you're not the most artistic, you can try printing lilly prints and using Modge posher to seal it, or you could just paint whichever print is easiest for you on all of the letters rather than a different one on each!

Personally I think that this Lilly Print, Ya Gotta Regatta is the easiest, and its a classic!
